Barolo Cannubi is the flagship wine of Damilano. Born from the noble Nebbiolo varietal cultivated in Barolo, this wine benefits from the generous, calcareous-clay soil with a good quantity of sand that is found on the prestigious Cannubi hill. An old vine wine, Barolo Cannubi is crafted from vineyards planted in 1935 with desirable southern exposure. The wine has a striking garnet, ruby red color with subtle orange reflections. It has an ample nose with evident notes of cherry and plum that evolve into hints of tobacco, licorice, and cocoa. On the palate, it has a harmonic flavor that is pleasantly dry, with soft tannins and a full body. Serve at a temperature 61°F to 63°F to best enjoy the range of sensations this wine expresses.
